Dr. Daulatrao Aher College of Engineering Karad was established in 2008 by Dr. Ashok G. Gujar, as a part of Shri G. K. Gujar Memorial Charitable Trust’s activities at Karad. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Mumbai, and Government of Maharashtra and is affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur. The institute offers engineering programs in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications (E&TC), Civil Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) leading to B.Tech. Degree as per Shivaji University Curriculum. The institute has dedicated faculty members and staff and is well equipped with laboratories.

The institute has important committees for governance, management and administration. The main objective is to provide quality education to students of engineering. With this aim in mind the management, faculty and staff have committements towards academic excellence and relevance. We at DACOE, Karad believe in rational and visibility.


Location: -

The institute is located at Vidyanagar extension Banawadi , Karad. It has educational environment as it is surrounded by various other educational institutes such as Govt. college of Engineering (Degree & Diploma), Govt. college of Pharmacy (Degree & Diploma) Govt. Industrial Training Institute (ITI),  Arts, Science & Commerce colleges and many more including Medical College. Karad is an educational hub after Pune.

As a educational hub students from various corners of India and abroad stay at Karad for their educational needs, accordingly the need of accommodation and food of students from different regions are fulfilled at Karad.

Ratnagiri – 100 km

 

Karad is connected to other parts by Maharashtra and Karnataka State Transport (ST) buses, Private buses and railway. Karad railway station and ST bus stand is 2km & 3km respectively from the institute. Auto Rikshaw is the mode of local transport.
